Flatiron Building, New York

Completed in 1902, the 20-storey Fuller Building was one of the tallest buildings in New York at the time. The building owes its wedge shape – and hence its nickname – to its location on a triangular block formed by Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and East 22nd Street.
